So I have looked at this drawing for as far back as I can remember in the various houses that I lived in growing up in upstate NY. I was very drawn to it, but I also found it haunting. Walking up the dark staircase to bed at night, it was peering out at me. It's eyes seemed to move when I passed it. I don't remember all the locations it hung because my damn parents moved so much, but I remember it at the homestead hanging on the wall leading up the staircase. 

 

Later I would find out that the artist of this charcoal was my great grandmother, Heyltje. When my parents moved south, I made sure it was in my possession. That donkey still stares at me as I work in my shop. I'm not as afraid of it as I used to be, but sometimes I still feel it's damn eyes following me.....

AHHHHH.... JUICE IT!

Been juicing the hell out of this stuff with this crazy counter mounted contraption that looks like a meat grinder.
15 pounds of wheat grass is the equivalent of 350 pounds of carrot, lettuce, celery, etc. in the detoxing department.
 One ounce has the same nutritional value as 2.5 pounds of green garden vegetables.
THe chlorophyll in it neutralizes toxins in the body, helps purify the liver (and GOd knows I need that), improves blood sugar problems, prevents tooth decay, stops the hair from graying, helps get rid of acne, and improves digestion just to list a few of its attributes.

The television series The Dukes of Hazzard follows Bo and Luke Duke, two cousins living in a rural part of the fictional Hazzard County, Georgia, with their cousin Daisy and wise old Uncle Jesse, racing around in their customized 1969 Dodge Charger, The General Lee, evading corrupt county commissioner Jefferson Davis "Boss" Hogg and his inept county sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane. Bo and Luke had previously been sentenced to probation for illegal transportation of moonshine; their uncle Jesse made a plea bargain to stop brewing moonshine in exchange. As a result, Bo and Luke are not allowed to carry firearms (instead, they often use compound bows, sometimes tipped with dynamite) or to leave Hazzard County, although the exact details of their probation terms vary from episode to episode: sometimes it is implied that they would be jailed for merely crossing the county line; on other occasions, it is shown that they may leave Hazzard as long as they are back within a certain time limit; several other technicalities of their probation also came into play at various times.

My brother and I used to watch this show fairly religiously. One day my Mom walked in while my brother was watching the show with tears running down his face. 'What's wrong, Tony?' she asked. 'Bo and Luke think Uncle Jesse is dead, but he's really not.' I still want a Charger to this day.

As you may (or may not) recall this pic in a previous post, this was an owl found along side the road somewhere in South Dakota. Lock is pictured cutting the talons off. Those suckers were carried in Colleen's purse all week, forgotten to be handed over to me, and then shipped from Milwaukee to Connecticut. Those suckers have done some traveling, not to mention where they have been attached to their owner.

Fast forward almost a year later. Said talon is flanked by 2 badger claws (these I found at some crazy taxiderm place along side the road also in S.D.) I gave it to a friend for his birthday thinking it would either end up on his rat bike or around his neck....We shall see. Feel free to contact me if you wanna send any carcs or pieces thereof...
